Ghanaian rapper, Medikal, deserved a slot in the overall Artiste of the
Year category at the 2019 VGMAs.
The argument is centred on the fact that the artiste who has evidently worked hard during the year in review, churning out several hit songs and features deserves to be enlisted amongst the likes of Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Kuami Eugene, King Promise and Joe Mettle in the Artiste of the Year category.
Apparently, speculations going around have it that AMG’s Medikal should have been a better replacement for the 2017 VGMA Artiste of the Year, Joe Mettle, while quite a number think otherwise.
Amidst these deliberations, Medikal has confirmed to ghanamusic.com that he is not perturbed by his omittance from the Artiste of the year category and is even opened to perform on the night of the VGMAs if an agreement is reached with his management.
